The Bronx Stop: A Yankees Blog

Bruce Springsteen was the musical guest at the annual Joe Torre Safe At Home dinner. Bruce did a special version of "California Sun" and changed some of the words to fit Torres departure from New York to Los Angeles. There were numerous Yankees in attendance but missing were Andy Pettite and Roger Clemens. Not missing but may as well have been- were Mariano Rivera and Jorge Posada who did not comment on their future as Yankees. Former beloved Yankee outfielder, Bernie Williams, also got on the stage and did a song with Springsteen that included a jazz rendition.
