Yanks Open Talks With Santana

Posted by Mark McCray |

Apparently the Yankees have begun talks with the Twins about a potential trade for Johan Santana.

"Senior vice president Hank Steinbrenner told the Associated Press on Monday that the Yankees and Twins have started discussions involving the two-time Cy Young Award winner, though he said it was too early to tell if a deal would be reached and did not detail how far talks had progressed."
I am not sure I am really sold on acquiring Johan Santana at such a steep price. If you can get Dan Haren without trading any of the "Big Three" pitchers, Melkey Cabrera or Robinson Cano, lets do it. Pettite, Wang, Haren, Hughes, Chamberlain...Here you go Mr. Steinbrenner, here is your World Series trophy.

Check back for updates on the progression of the talks....
