Joba Chamberlain has been selected as the cover man for ESPN: The Magazine's 2008 NEXT competition.
This selection was a no brainer after Joba's 100mph fastball and an untouchable slider led him to a mythical rise through the minor leagues and on to the "big stage" that is Major League Baseball. Joba instantly became the most dominating pitcher of the 2007 Yankees-- and for this, earned near cult status among Yankee fans.
Congratulations Joba Chamberlain. You are NEXT!
