Santana Talks Stall

Posted by Mark McCray |

It looks like neither side can make up their mind on what to do about Johan Santana. As the self imposed midnight deadline approaches, talks have apparently stalled. It sounds almost as the Twins are content with keeping Santana and the Yankees are content now that Andy Pettite is back for another year...but who knows. These are the Yankees were talking about. Actually they are probably just waiting until Monday Night Football is over so they can trump the talk about the Patriots being undefeated...check back often!!!

I want to get it done by tonight, one way or another," Yankees senior vice president Hank Steinbrenner said, according to The Associated Press. "I'm waiting for a meeting in Nashville, and then Brian will give me a call."

Brian Cashman also admitted to reporters there's a fear that the players he might trade could win Cy Young Awards for another team.

"I'm definitely fully vested in a lot of the young talent. You get attached to it."
