The Yankees will open at home against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, March 31, at 1:05 p.m. ET, and will prepare to close out their final regular season against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1:05 p.m. ET.

"New York's 81-game home schedule will feature three series totaling nine games with each of the four American League East clubs, as well as Interleague series against three National League opponents -- the New York Mets (May 15-18), the San Diego Padres (June 17-20) and the Cincinnati Reds (June 20-22).

Other key dates on the Yankees' schedule include their first rematch of the 2007 AL Division Series, on April 25-28 at Cleveland's Jacobs Field, and the team's first road trip of the year, an eight-game swing to play the Kansas City Royals, Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays from April 11-15 that follows a seven-game opening homestand against the Blue Jays and Rays.

After closing Yankee Stadium for the regular season on Sept. 21, the Yankees play their final six games on the road, visiting Toronto and Boston

"As we enter the final season of the current Yankee Stadium, we plan to honor the history and tradition of this iconic ballpark from the first pitch to the last," said Yankees chief operating officerLonn Trost . "We look forward to celebrating our past and our present throughout the 2008 season while watching our new, state-of-the-art home come to life next door."
