Apparently, Roger Clemens and his crazy crew have some more explaining to do--and this time to Congress.
AP Sportswriter Howard Fendrich writes:
"Roger Clemens, a seven-time Cy Young Award winner, was asked Friday to testify before a congressional committee looking into the Mitchell Report on doping in baseball, nearly three years after the same panel brought sluggers Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Rafael Palmeiro to Capitol Hill."
"Also invited to appear before the House Oversight Committee on Jan. 16 were Clemens' former New York Yankeeteammates Pettitte and Chuck Knoblauch; McNamee, who has said he injected Clemens with steroids and human growth hormone; and former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski, whose allegations were central to the findings released last month by former Senate majority leader George Mitchell."
Nothing good will come out of this...not for Roger and not for the fans. Personally, I'm tired of hearing about Clemens and I could really care less if he took steroids at this point. In my opinion he is an ex-Yankee now. And an ex-Red Suck, And an ex-Astro. And an ex-Blue Jay....well you get the point he is an ex-MLB player. It is time to move on....it is time now to focus on the good of the game.
