Hank Steinbrenner said Friday no one has been offered the job as manager of the New York Yankees, however, he said the team is "close" to a decision.
Steinbrenner said that once an offer has been made the team will have to work out a contract with the new manager before making an announcement, which is likely to take place on Tuesday at the Stadium.
